How To Use Function Keys For Beginners

It is very important to know about shortcut buttons on the keyboard, so in this article, I give some use of ‘Function Keys’.

It is very important to know about the computer at this time. I am not saying that if you don’t know about the computer you will get punishment. I am saying that all the works in the future will take place on computers such as website building, affiliate marketing, and app developing are the works which take place on the computer.

If you ever see the upper part of the keyboard you will see that there are a total of 12 buttons named F1, F2, F3, F4, etc. all these buttons have letter F as the first letter of its name. The full form of this F is Function and the 1, 2, 3, 4 are the numberings of these buttons.

If you used a computer for any work like data entry or article writing and many other works in which you have to type something on the keyboard, at this time probably you do not use the function keys, but if you use these keys when you do works like typing then it makes your work easy.

Let’s understand, what is the use of function keys

F1

When you are running a program and you need help then you can use this key (F1 key) to open the help window.

F2

If you want to change the name of a file or folder, then you can do so by pressing the button (F2 key).

F3

No matter which website or application you just click on the F3 key to search the file or a word.

F4

The F4 key is basically used with the Alt button. You can close any program by ALT + F4 shortcut keys.

F5

This is one of the most useful and important keys (F5 key). You can refresh either windows or any app and website by this key.

F6

When you are using a browser you can change the URL of the browser by using this key (F6 Key).

F7

This is also a very important key (F7 Key) you can check spellings mistakes while using Microsoft Word.

F8

When you start a computer and if you want to see the boot menu you can use this button (F8 key).

F9

While using Microsoft Word you can refresh the opened document by clicking on this button (F9 key).

F10

By this key (F10 key), When you highlight a word and right-clicked on the mouse a menu opened but if you want to open this menu without using a mouse you can use the combination of Shift + F10.

F11

On the modern browsers if you want to see the browser’s full screen view you can click on this button (F11 Key) to do this. This is also used to close the full-screen mode of the browser.

F12

This key (F12 Key) is used for saving the file on the Microsoft Word.
